Firmware update in controllers

Description:
How to update firmware in controllers?

Solution:

Note: Before start of firmware update procedure it is necessary to disconnect CPR network controller from system bus (if present).

Please follow the instructions below:

  1. Run RogerISP software,
  2. In controller put jumper on FDM contacts (Firmware Download Mode),
  3. Choose proper communication port, to which communication interface is connected,
  4. Choose ERASE  command in order to delete all data from FLASH memory,
  5. Press up_RST  button on controller (according to software instructions) and wait until software executes command,
  6. Select firmware HEX file,
  7. Choose PROGRAM  command and upgrade procedure will start. Progress bar will indicate the process of uploading firmware to the controller,
  8. Once finished the information will appear, then please put off jumper from FDM contacts and press OK ,
  9. If update is successful controller will start and set to operation mode, it is also necessary to perform memory reset procedure,
  10. From PR Master software level - by right mouse click on updated controller - choose command Restart controller and verify version and then send settings to the controller.

If controller is not operational that means update operation was not successful and whole procedure has to be performed again.
