Description:
How to configure PRT12 reader for simple standalone work?

Solution:

Programming MASTER and INSTALLER cards and settings reset.

The procedure erases all previously set settings (and all users), restores default settings to C1-C13 configuration parameters and allows to program new user IDs for MASTER and INSTALLERS.

  1. Switch power off,
  2. Disconnect all CLK and IN1 lines,
  3. Connect CLK and IN1 lines (green and yellow wires),
  4. Switch power on (the reader will start to generate continuous acoustic signal),
  5. Wait until green "open" led starts to blink,
  6. Disconnect CLK and IN1 lines,
  7. Set PIN code for MASTER user (for example 1111#) or skip this step and follow to next one,
  8. Read any card (this card will be MASTER from now on) or press # button and reader will skip this step and will follow to next one,
  9. Set PIN code for INSTALLER user (for example 1111#) or skip this step and follow to the next one,
  10. Read any card (this card will be INSTALLER from now on) or press # button and the reader will skip this step and go further to next one,
  11. In this step the reader will automatically quit programming mode.

  2. Disconnect all DTA and IN1 lines (brown and yellow wires),
  3. Connect DTA and IN1 lines,
