MC16-LRC Locker Access Controller

The MC16-LRC controller enables the implementation of electronic access control to lockers and caches as part of the RACS 5 access control and automation system.

The controller can work with any electrically operated wired locks. The MC16-LRC controller module is hardware compatible with the MC16-PAC access controller module and offers the same readers and expansion module support capabilities as the parent MC16 controller. The hardware resources of the controller motherboard can support up to 8 cabinets. In case of more cabinets, it is necessary to connect external I / O expanders to the controller.

The user gains access to the locker after being identified on the reader associated with the locker. It is possible to configure the system in which a single reader serves many or even all of the cabinets. In such a configuration variant, after recognizing the user, the controller analyzes his authorizations and opens the lockers to which he is authorized.

The locker system is managed and monitored from the same software as the door access control system. Both systems use the same database and the same list of users, which allows them to significantly improve their management. The MC16-LRC controller is offered in 3 versions of the license enabling the operation of 16, 32, or 64 cabinets.
