On the 9th and 10th of October 2024, the Security Bootcamp took place in the unique surroundings of the Historic "Guido" Coal Mine in Zabrze, dedicated to security managers and safety specialists. The event provided an excellent opportunity for direct meetings with representatives from five leading security brands, as well as a chance to explore the latest technological solutions.

One of the main highlights of the programme was a team-based game during which participants, divided into teams, had the chance to tackle practical challenges. The game addressed key security topics, including:

  • video verification in extreme conditions using thermal imaging,
  • threat identification based on audits,
  • modern video surveillance systems,
  • image analysis in the cloud and on end devices,
  • new solutions in call systems.

The first day concluded with a communal barbecue dinner, offering a great opportunity for industry discussions and networking. The second day was devoted to strategic training on the challenges of implementing the NIS2 directive and its impact on IT and physical security in 2025.

As a technical partner of the event, we had the pleasure of presenting the advanced capabilities of the RACS 5 access control system, using selected projects as examples. We also co-organised part of the team-based game, where we focused on the functionalities of the VISO SMS software, as well as tasks involving encrypted proximity cards.

The Security Bootcamp in Zabrze was not only an opportunity to gain practical skills but also to exchange knowledge and experiences in remarkable surroundings, over 300 metres underground! We would like to thank all participants for their engagement and active involvement.
